An Ecological Engineering Company
We are a company dedicated to bringing ecological principles to planning, design and engineering. We currently have two primary service areas: water resources and hazardous waste. Our water resources activities include watershed planning, natural stream assessment and restoration, wetlands assessment and banking, and stormwater management. Our hazardous waste activities include Brownfields assessment and remediation, risk assessment, as well as Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.



History
ATR Associates, Inc., was incorporated in 1991 and initially focused on CERCLA and RCRA response. We pioneered the concept of risk-based closures and remedial response, and later brought those concepts to Brownfields and Voluntary Remedial Action. In the late 1990s we expanded our interests to include water resources, including watershed planning, natural stream assessment and restoration, and stormwater management - emphasizing Low Impact Development techniques.



Future Goals
Our goal is to assist planners, developers, engineers and architects integrate ecological principles into projects. Our goal is to minimize the adverse effects of man's activities on natural resources, and to substitute natural processes for traditional 'hard' technologies.
